Job Summary
Conduct clinical evaluation and post-operative care for abdominal wall reconstruction patients, managing complex recurrent ventral and inguinal hernias, infected mesh, and mesh-related GI fistulae. Perform open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical management under graduated autonomy with surgical preceptors. Deliver weekly didactics and intraoperative teaching to residents, medical students, and mid-level providers on minimally invasive surgery and abdominal wall topics. Participate in monthly general surgery call and cross-cover MIS service overflow in a 1-in-3 rotation. Engage in research and quality improvement projects, presenting abstracts to surgical conferences.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree conferred from accredited institution
- Graduate of accredited resident program in General Surgery
- Demonstrated aptitude and existing skills for MIS Fellow, General Surgery
