Job Summary
Teach undergraduate courses in advanced manufacturing concepts, including lectures and hands-on labs, across day, evening, and weekend schedules. Maintain office hours, advise students, develop curriculum, and participate in professional development and college service activities. Lead efforts to improve academic courses and utilize multimedia instructional technology. Apply internationally accepted machining practices, G-Code programming, and 3-axis CNC milling skills to enhance student learning. This temporary assignment for the 2026-2027 academic year reports to the Chief Academic Officer.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Engineering or a related Engineering field
- 4,000 hours of work experience in mechanical engineering, engineering design, industrial technology, and/or the advanced manufacturing field
- All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university
- Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Teaching experience at the community college level
- Experience and/or interest in using multimedia/new instructional technology in the classroom
- Experience with various 3D CAD software applications
- Experience with programming and operating CNC machinery and related software
- Fluency in internationally accepted machining practices and measurement systems
- Technical knowledge and skills in computerized numerical control (CNC) programming, using the G-Code programming language and utilizing a 3-axis CNC milling machine
- Understanding of electronics and related equipment
- Understanding of mechatronic and robotic equipment
- Experience and interest in utilizing Learning Management Systems for course enhancement or delivery
