Job Summary

Teach Criminal Law (CRIM 1216) on Fridays from 12:30 to 3:20 PM, ensuring currency in subject areas including global and local trends. Maintain appropriate office hours for student consultation and actively seek opportunities to integrate students and learning into community organizations. Contribute to department meetings, program design reviews, and initiatives within the Criminal Justice Department and Faculty of Social Sciences. This part-time temporary role begins Friday, January 1, 2027, and concludes April 30, 2027, with a salary ranging from $46.06 to $142.49. Applicants must be located in or willing to move to British Columbia.

Required Qualifications

  • Canadian LLB or JD
  • experience in criminal law
  • Demonstrated post-secondary teaching experience
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence
  • commitment to ensuring students are supported throughout their studies
  • Ability and willingness to contribute in department meetings and initiatives
  • Must be located in BC or willing to move to BC to accept work with Langara College
