Job Summary
Provide classroom instruction in the Business Department, covering Statistics, Quantitative Business Applications, and Business Math. Teach statistical methods for data analysis and interpretation, including hypothesis testing and regression, alongside algebra-based calculations for business investments and income statement analysis. Evaluate student performance and participate in departmental and college-wide committees. Perform additional duties as specified in the faculty contract. Daytime availability is required for on-campus sections at HVCC Troy and potentially HVCC North. Teaching assignments may include evening, weekend, and online delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (or other relevant graduate-level business degree) or Master's Degree in Mathematics or Statistics from an accredited college or university
- Daytime availability to teach on-campus sections
- Experience teaching Statistics, Business Math and Quantitative Business Applications
- Previous experience and/or a desire to engage in distance learning initiatives
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
- Appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check
Desired Qualifications
- Post-secondary teaching experience
- Experience with online delivery systems (D2L Brightspace)
