Job Summary
Teach Automotive Technology courses, prepare lessons and syllabi, and provide students with appropriate learning materials and expertise. Evaluate student performance based on course learning outcomes, assist as faculty advisor, and hold office hours for tutorial help. Maintain accurate student records, submit pertinent data to the department and College, and serve on departmental, unit, and college committees. Provide an inclusive and collaborative learning environment while adhering to College policies and the FFECC Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
- Associate's degree in automotive technology from an accredited college or university
- A professional CTE Teaching certification from course work at an accredited college
- Journeyman status in his/her profession
- Five (5) years of current work experience in the Automotive Repair Field
- Current NYS Inspectors License
- Experience teaching at the College level
Desired Qualifications
- Current manufacturers or aftermarket automotive training in the area of instruction
- ASE Master Technician status in all eight (8) areas
