Job Summary
Teach lecture and laboratory classes in general, airframe, and power plant curriculums while grading projects, exams, and maintaining student attendance records per FAA requirements. Assist work groups to enhance learning experiences, advise students, and support educational activities. Evaluate adjuncts in lab and lecture environments as directed by the Vice President of Training and participate in departmental meetings and college-wide committees. This full-time, non-tenure track position at the Aviation Training Institute requires FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications and is located in classrooms and a hanger/ramp area. Salary is $55,000 for well-qualified individuals with a comprehensive benefits package including tuition assistance.
Required Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certifications
- Ability to meet the requirements of designated maintenance examiner applicants
- Ability to operate machinery in a safe manner - following established procedures
- Ability to understand and follow directions both written and verbal
- A bachelor's degree
- Minimum of two years aviation maintenance experience
