Job Summary
Conduct aquatic fitness instruction for Aqua Arthritis classes on Mondays at 5:30pm, delivering multisensory lessons through verbal cues and visual demonstrations while planning creative sessions to maintain member engagement. Modify instruction based on class needs, select appropriate music, and provide high-level customer service to grow class sizes and clientele. Train and motivate clients while collaborating with supervisors and co-workers to foster a positive, community-focused atmosphere. Possess Group Exercise and Aqua Instructor certifications with at least two years of teaching experience.
Required Qualifications
- Experience teaching multiple formats
- Ability to provide multisensory instruction through mastered verbal cues and visual demonstration
- Ability to plan multiple creative classes for constant variety for the members
- Ability to understand the desires and needs of each class and modify accordingly
- Provide an appropriate atmosphere with music selection
- Maintain and grow class sizes to the expectations of the facility
- Have a true passion and energy for health and fitness
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Group Exercise Instructor National Certification
- Aqua Instructor Certification
- Minimum of two years teaching experience
- Ability to train and motivate clients
- Work with supervisor and co-workers to help grow clientele
- Provide a high level of customer service to our members
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and members
- Must be punctual
- Must be physically capable to train clients
