Job Summary
Instructor responsible for staff supervision, development and implementation of instructional lesson plans, and monitoring activities on the floor. Provides program support in areas such as delivering lesson and academic plans, guiding curriculum/academic building activities (art, music, drama, etc.), assisting with management in staff absences, developing CIP calendars, and monitoring documentation and data recording. Participates in service plan implementation and evaluation, input for ISP, and assists with funding, regulatory and agency communication. Provides customer and staff support, supervises staff, manages or provides supervision of medication distribution, and helps with customer transportation and vehicle/equipment maintenance. Attends required agency meetings and training, and provides support in staff or program absence. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with one year of college course work (30 units) of social work, counseling, therapeutic recreation, adapted physical/special education or related human service field with a minimum of two years of experience working in day or residential programs serving persons with disabilities
- An AA degree with an emphasis in human services may be substituted for one year of experience
