Job Summary
Instructors lead structured play, homework assistance, and a variety of STEAM and sports activities in after-school enrichment programs, guiding and inspiring K-8 students in a dynamic, on-campus environment across STEM, Arts, and Sports offerings. Responsibilities include delivering engaging activities, supporting student learning, maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere, and ensuring safety. Requirements include two years of college coursework or equivalent certification, 1-2 years in relevant subject areas, strong communication and classroom-management skills, reliable transportation, a valid ID, ability to pass a background check, and availability Monday through Friday from 12:00–6:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of college coursework (48 semester units), an associate’s degree or higher, or proof of certification through a local assessment that meets the requirements of the "Every Student Succeeds Act"
- 1-2 years of experience in STEM, Arts, and/or Sports subject areas
- Passion for teaching and inspiring young minds
- Ability to work effectively with students in grades K-8
- Strong classroom management skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver’s license or State ID
- Ability to pass a background check via online/live scan
- Availability between 12:00-6:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Ability to lift and carry 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations
