Job Summary
Lead and inspire students in STEAM and sports activities, teaching fundamentals from basic to advanced levels while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship. Implement BAM! programs including Python & Scratch Coding, Robotics, LEGO, Math, Literacy, Creative Arts, Music, Animation, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Street Hockey, Flag Football, and Cheerleading. Manage K-8 classes with excellent class management skills, ensuring each child progresses at their own pace in a safe, collaborative environment. Requires 1–2 years of youth teaching or mentoring experience, valid driver's license, and ability to lift 20–50 lbs occasionally. Part-time role available Tuesdays and Wed–Fri evenings, starting August 25, 2026, with a wage of $32/hour.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience teaching or mentoring youth in STEM (including Robotics, Game Design, and Engineering), Chess, Arts, or Sports subject areas
- A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring
- Excellent class management skills and the ability to work effectively with students in grades K-8
- Reliable transportation
- A valid driver's license or State ID
- Ability to pass a background check
- Willingness to undergo additional training as required
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations
