Job Summary
BP Adult Climbing Instructors deliver accessible climbing instruction, foster community, manage groups of adults with varied experience, collaborate with fellow instructors and program leads to develop and implement climbing and training curriculum, and uphold BP’s values and safety standards in a busy climbing environment. Responsibilities include creating an exceptional climbing experience, engaging with the local community, maintaining professional appearance, staying current with climbing training methodologies, and providing leadership to ensure safe, enjoyable sessions for participants of all levels.
Required Qualifications
- Climbing experience significantly higher than the level of instruction being performed is required
- Good communication skills and the ability to provide, receive and implement feedback
- Desire to continually work to improve own climbing, instructing, and interpersonal skills
- Passion for climbing and community development
- Evening and weekend availability
- Ability to move 50lbs on soft flooring
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience instructing or coaching climbing in a professional environment (optional)
