Job Summary
Deliver hands-on technical training sessions covering welding, fitting, pipefitting, rigging, safety, and marine operations to skilled trades employees across ACI and BBI. Conduct practical skills demonstrations, guided practice, and learner performance observations while assessing competency during exercises and documenting results for the LMS. Maintain a safe training environment in compliance with OSHA standards and set up or break down training areas and equipment before and after sessions. Report delivery outcomes and learner progress to the Lead Instructor, provide feedback on technique and safety, and coordinate logistics with the Technical Skills Coordinator. Maintain current knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices while supporting apprenticeship program training activities and personal certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a skilled tradesperson in welding, fitting, pipefitting, rigging, marine operations, or related field
- 1+ years of experience in training delivery, mentoring, or leading crews
- Willingness to travel between ACI and BBI locations and job sites as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant trade certifications (NCCER, AWS, OSHA, USCG) preferred
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Patient, safety-conscious approach to instruction
