Job Summary
Plan and deliver engaging technology lessons to students in grades K–5 as part of the school's related arts rotation. Teach foundational technology skills using iPads, computers, and other digital devices in computer lab and classroom settings. Develop lessons promoting digital literacy, keyboarding, internet safety, coding, computational thinking, and age-appropriate STEM activities. Foster problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, and critical-thinking through technology-rich learning experiences. Collaborate with classroom teachers to support curriculum and technology integration, maintain a safe and organized learning environment in tech spaces, monitor equipment, promote responsible digital citizenship, assess student progress, and provide feedback. Participate in school activities and duties as assigned by the principal or district administration.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of college
- Knowledge of elementary-aged students' developmental, academic, and social-emotional needs
- Knowledge of technology integration strategies for K–5
- Familiarity with iPads, Chromebooks, desktop/laptop computers, and related educational technology tools
- Ability to plan and deliver standards-based technology lessons for diverse learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers for curriculum and technology integration
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technology issues
- Ability to maintain a positive, organized classroom and learning environment
- Ability to supervise students during arrival/dismissal and other duties
