Instructional Systems Designer

Job Summary
Oversee and execute instructional design work for government/DoD education and training initiatives. Responsibilities include assessing training requirements, implementing strategies and programs, creating a range of training resources, evaluating external vendors when needed, and analyzing program efficacy to provide management with reports and recommendations. Requires collaboration with subject matter experts, clients, and a team of instructional designers, graphic artists, and programmers; design and develop SCORM-conformant content using rapid development tools (e.g., Presenter, Captivate, Articulate); proficiency with Microsoft Office; and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 6 years’ experience in instructional design and educational technology. Active Secret Clearance is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in instructional systems design, educational technology or similar relevant field
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content
- Must have advanced knowledge in computer-based training (CBT), and/or web-based training (WBT) tools (i.e., Articulate, Captivate, Camtasia, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Active Secret Clearance. A government background investigation will be conducted on selected applicants to determine whether they qualify for access to classified information.
