Instructional Support Specialist

Job Summary
Conduct targeted 1:1 coaching and intervention for teachers identified as needing instructional support, utilizing TPG's standardized rubric to provide actionable feedback. Deliver proactive instructional resources, including written guides, webinars, and in-person training sessions, while maintaining a research-based library. Collaborate with district representatives, school administrators, and Program Managers to align services with local needs and implement improvement plans for teacher performance concerns. Partner with the Instructional Support Coach to ensure consistent delivery of support and alignment with broader program goals. Based in the Jacksonville, FL area with regular local and regional travel, this role combines in-person school support, virtual coaching, and webinar facilitation. Occasional evening or weekend work is required for trainings or events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Valid teaching certification (Florida preferred or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 3 years of K–12 classroom teaching experience
- Experience teaching in Florida schools
- Strong understanding of FLDOE standards, assessments, and accountability systems
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in education or a related field
- Experience in educational technology including Learning Management Systems (LMS), Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS), i Ready, ESE accommodations and differentiation
- Experience in instructional coaching, mentoring, or teacher leadership roles
- Completion of, or current enrollment in, district leadership cohort training
- Background in supporting diverse learners, including ESE populations
- Experience designing and delivering professional development
- Strong instructional expertise across K–12 settings
- Ability to build trust and coach adult learners effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze classroom practice and provide actionable feedback
- Ability to translate U.S. instructional practices, terminology, and expectations into clear, actionable guidance
- Ability to build trust with teachers from diverse cultural backgrounds by showing cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and respect
