Job Summary
Facilitate lessons on study skills, homework strategies, and community building while supervising students during make-up tests and quizzes. Collaborate with classroom teachers to align social-emotional growth with assignments, review materials one-on-one, and ensure students follow school rules within a structured, safe environment. Support students in organizing work, self-advocating on workload management, and accessing Individual Education Plans tailored to their learning styles. Monitor social-emotional needs, refer concerns to the School Culture or Wellness Teams, and model responsible behavior. Maintain a full-time thirty-five-hour work schedule across 180 school days plus professional development periods.
Required Qualifications
- three years of experience working with middle school students
- be able to pass a background check (CORI/SORI & Fingerprinting)
- be computer literate
- Experience with and/or interest in learning more about restorative practices
- social justice
- arts integration
Desired Qualifications
- BA degree is preferred
