Job Summary
Under direction of a certified teacher, instructs students and adapts curriculum to meet needs of students. Duties include administering tests and assessments; monitoring IEP progress; and documenting behavior, progress, and results of student activities. Responsibilities include assisting with classroom instruction and modifications, providing one-on-one and group tutoring, monitoring behavior, preparing materials, grading papers, entering/updating student data in computer programs, and participating in in-service trainings and meetings. The role emphasizes classroom support, student assessment, documentation, and collaboration with teaching staff to reinforce classroom objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- one year of educational or clerical experience
- 60 hours of secondary education or successful Paraprofessional test (Title Schools)
- First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of employment (for Special Needs)
- Valid DPS Arizona FPCC
