Instructional Specialist --Elementary

Instructional Specialist role in Akron Public Schools focused on coaching cycles to model, co-teach, and observe instructional practices across content areas; facilitates data-driven instructional decisions, develops and delivers high-quality professional development, differentiates instruction, and plans intervention/remediation to raise student achievement. Requires knowledge of Ohio Learning Standards, district/ school improvement processes, and ability to use data and formative assessments to guide planning; collaborates with teachers and administration to implement district curriculum adoption, supports blended learning, and uses technology to enhance staff and student growth; reports to building principal and Director of School Improvement.
