Job Summary
Collaborate with teachers to strengthen Tier I instruction in reading and mathematics while modeling evidence-based strategies aligned to student needs. Lead initiatives promoting a positive, inclusive school culture through PBIS frameworks and behavior data monitoring. Serve as a key member of the MTSS team to support Tier II and III interventions and track their fidelity. Assist administration in analyzing student data to identify at-risk learners and ensure alignment with Title I funding requirements. Provide professional development and coaching to school-based staff. Partner with families to coordinate outreach efforts and support student success.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
- Eligibility for or possession of a Virginia Administration and Supervision Pre K – 12 endorsements
- Completion of an approved educational leadership/administration preparation program
- Minimum of three years of successful, full-time teaching or instructional experience in a public or accredited school setting
- Evidence of leadership experience (e.g., department chair, instructional coach)
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with students, families, staff, and community stakeholders to support student success and school climate
- Knowledge of RCPS administration, curriculum, techniques for integrating curriculum, RCPS policies, and effective instructional practices
- Thorough understanding of the teaching, learning, and administrative processes
- Ability to work effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office, school-based staff, students, parents, and community
- Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills
- Eligibility for or possession of a Virginia Administration and Supervision Pre K – 12 endorsements
- Completion of an approved educational leadership/administration preparation program
- Minimum of three years of successful, full-time teaching or instructional experience in a public or accredited school setting
- Evidence of leadership experience (e.g., department chair, instructional coach)
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with students, families, staff, and community stakeholders to support student success and school climate
- Senior school administrative work typically performed in a school setting to include classrooms, cafeteria, and recreational areas
- Regular coordination with school bus scheduling requiring outside activity in frequent inclement weather
- Daily liaison activity throughout the school building and grounds
- Occasional attendance to school-related activities throughout the state and after normal working hours
- Daily contact is made with students, teachers, and school administrators
- Regular contact is made with parents and the community
- These contacts may be non-cooperative
- Occasional contact with School Board members and state administrators
- Regular contact is made with the school division staff
