Job Summary

Collaborate with Lead Teachers to plan intellectual activities and implement developmentally appropriate curricula for small groups of students. Monitor and supervise all classroom and outdoor activities to ensure a safe, healthy, inclusive environment. Creatively engage young learners in physical activities, play, and innovative learning experiences that foster creativity and cooperation. Lead and assist with the Afternoon Program, including coaching athletic teams and supporting Before and After Care programming. Work closely with faculty and families while participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities. Interested candidates must submit resumes, cover letters, educational philosophies, writing samples, demo lessons, unofficial transcripts, and three professional references to the Primary School Director.

Required Qualifications

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree
  • Forward thinking and flexible
  • Excited about working in a progressive, urban, independent school
  • A willingness to work collaboratively with CSA faculty and families
  • A willingness to be actively engaged in extracurricular and extended learning experiences
  • Must be able to alter plans/routines when unexpected, stressful situations and multiple interruptions occur without projecting stress/frustration that would adversely affect the work environment
  • CSA, as a condition of employment, requires a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening, prior to hiring
  • CSA is a drug-free environment, and random drug-screenings may be required of all employees after hiring
