Job Summary
Instructional Leader responsible for fostering student achievement within the designated curriculum area, contributing to the school’s curriculum development, and supporting high-impact teaching practices. The role involves leading professional learning communities, designing learning targets and year plans, collaborating across teams to enhance pedagogy, and promoting Indigenous leadership and reconciliation initiatives. Strong emphasis on equity, inclusion, student-centered learning, and ongoing professional growth within a British Columbia IB school environment. This is a two-year term position with an in-person presence in Victoria, BC.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Teacher Certification through the Teacher Regulation Branch
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Experience in instructional leadership, coaching, or program coordination
- Proven ability to lead professional development and collaborate across teams
- Deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and student-centred learning
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability and desire to lead, to organize and to collaborate with others
