Job Summary
Plans and presents developmentally appropriate opportunities for students to learn subject matter and skills; collaborates with the Department of Teaching and Learning to implement district-required interventions at the school level; plans and prepares lesson plans and related activities for individual students or assigned classes; guides learning toward achievement of curriculum goals; employs diverse instructional techniques and media; assesses student progress and maintains records; communicates objectives and progress to students and parents; supervises teaching assistants and volunteers; coordinates and participates in special programs and events; maintains classroom order and safety; engages in ongoing professional development and parent outreach as required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid South Carolina teaching certificate or eligibility for South Carolina teaching certificate in the appropriate certified area
