Job Summary
Manage multiple course development and revision projects, defining scope and overseeing timelines while collaborating with faculty to create effective, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences. Analyze instructional materials to identify strengths and weaknesses, then build and develop course content in Canvas, including pages, modules, assignments, and assessments. Provide training and technical support directly to learners in classrooms, labs, clinics, and distance learning mediums, while designing activities that accommodate diverse learner needs and ensure ADA compliance. Collect and interpret data to enhance learning effectiveness and promote faculty professional development in teaching practices and technology leverage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of professional work experience as a full-time instructional designer
- 1-2 years teaching and/or online learning experience
- Practical knowledge of instructional design methods and practices
- Demonstrated ability in interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Organizational skills to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously in various development and implementation stages while meeting corresponding deadlines
- Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) (e.g., Canvas, Brightspace by Desire2Learn, Blackboard, etc.)
