Job Summary
Instructional Designer for Roadie (UPS company) responsible for developing engaging, interactive learning materials and resources for the Customer Experience team. Collaborate with product managers, content creators, and subject matter experts to design and deliver training programs for a remote workforce. Design digital learning materials, tutorials, videos, job aids, and other resources; conduct needs assessments and define objectives; measure learning effectiveness through evaluations; stay current with instructional-design trends; work with external vendors as needed; support internal teams with best practices. Requires a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a related field and 3+ years of instructional design experience; proficiency with LMS/CMS, Articulate Storyline/Rise/Reach (Vyond preferred); strong project management, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment with remote work and benefits including health insurance, 401k, tuition assistance, unlimited PTO, and other perks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Sciences, or a related field
- 3+ years of instructional design, e-learning development, and instructor-led training
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, learning evaluation and instructional technology tools and platforms
- Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and content management systems (CMS)
- Experience using Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Reach preferred
- Experience using Vyond or similar software is preferred
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills, using data to inform the learning strategy and execution
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for designing innovative learning solutions
- A bias for action, thriving in a fast-paced, agile environment
