Job Summary
Design learning solutions from briefs by defining objectives, selecting modality, and constructing interactive storyboards in Storyline or Rise. Build branching scenarios that test specific outcomes and refine content based on SME feedback. Execute QA passes to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and pedagogical soundness while leveraging AI tools to accelerate drafting. Conduct needs analysis conversations to recognize key drivers in project briefs. Apply frameworks like ADDIE and Bloom's Taxonomy to create culturally adaptable materials that meet rigorous quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or related field
- 4–7 years in instructional design and learning development
- Proficient in applying instructional design frameworks (ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy, contemporary adult learning principles) to design effective solutions
- Independently conducts needs analysis
- Defines measurable objectives
- Ensures pedagogical soundness across a range of project types
- Proficient in creating compelling storyboards and learning content that translate complex information into digestible materials
- Independently produces content with appropriate examples, narrative flow, and cultural adaptability
- Proficient in building functional eLearning modules using Articulate Storyline or Rise
- Includes interactivity, branching scenarios, and SCORM compliance
- Working knowledge of LMS platforms
- Proficient with business tools such as SharePoint, Word / PowerPoint / Excel / Outlook / Teams
- Proficient in creating professional visual assets and multimedia elements that enhance learning
- Independently applies design principles (color theory, typography, layout) to ensure visual consistency, accessibility (WCAG compliance), and brand alignment
- Working knowledge of user-centered learning experience design
- Can apply emotional appeal, learner motivation, and experience-layer thinking with guidance from architects
- Developing toward independent application
- Working knowledge of quality assurance practices
- Applies established QA frameworks with guidance to ensure learning products meet standards for accuracy, functionality, and pedagogical effectiveness
- Proficient in leveraging AI-powered tools and emerging technologies to accelerate learning design, enhance quality, and drive innovation
- Independently applies AI-assisted workflows across the design and development lifecycle
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborates effectively with SMEs, stakeholders, and team members
Desired Qualifications
- Awareness of performance consulting principles and when learning interventions are or are not the right solution
- Familiarity with learning ecosystem architecture and curriculum mapping concepts
- Basic familiarity with learning analytics platforms and interpreting engagement or completion data
- Experience with business simulations, scenario-based learning, or immersive learning technologies (VR/AR)
- Awareness of change management or adoption strategies in learning contexts
- Advanced certifications in instructional design, UX design, or learning technologies
