Job Summary
Design and develop engaging learning experiences using instructional design frameworks and learning science principles to create course content, assessments, and interactive activities aligned to learning outcomes. Translate curriculum maps, research insights, and author manuscripts into pedagogically sound content while ensuring alignment between objectives, assessments, and outcomes. Work within an agile development environment to rapidly prototype, test, iterate, and refine educational content, incorporating feedback early and balancing speed with instructional integrity. Leverage and evaluate AI-powered authoring tools to accelerate development and enhance content quality. Collaborate cross-functionally with curriculum leaders, research analysts, authors, and subject matter experts to incorporate research and feedback while advocating for learner-centered design. Support the development of scalable instructional design processes, workflows, and standards to enable innovation and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing educational or training content
- Strong knowledge of instructional design frameworks and methodologies
- Proven ability to collaborate with subject matter experts, authors, editors, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments using iterative and agile development approaches
- Authorization to work for any employer within the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Coursework or a degree in instructional design, education, learning science, educational technology, or a related field
- Experience in educational publishing, edtech, higher education, or K–12 content development
- Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation
- Familiarity with LMS and authoring tools
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG)
- Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning
- Experience with multi-format content development (digital, print, interactive, and video)
