Job Summary
Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify learning gaps and objectives, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts to validate assumptions and structure content. Create engaging, interactive online learning materials by specifying activities that accommodate diverse learning styles and determining optimal multimedia combinations. Utilize authoring tools and learning technologies to deliver innovative solutions, while partnering with the Learning Experience Manager to develop assessment strategies and measure effectiveness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers and Visual Designers to ensure content accuracy, distribute production requirements, and liaise with content engineers for seamless delivery. Refurbish legacy library materials into innovative eLearning for a global maritime audience. Self-manage instructional design efforts, including timelines and resources, while staying updated on emerging trends to continuously improve processes and outputs.
Required Qualifications
- A professional qualification in instructional design
- Experience working collaboratively in a team environment
- A pragmatic understanding of managing high-quality content with a professional and resilient attitude toward handling diverse individuals
- Ability to understand the learner's needs and create optimal learning experiences through well-structured learning journey roadmaps
- Proficiency in learning production processes, including ADDIE and agile practices
- Mastery of visual storytelling to craft compelling and engaging educational content
- Strong conceptual and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional environments
- A passion for maintaining high standards of quality in all design work with an eye for detail
- An 18 month fixed term contract
