Job Summary
Design, develop, and manage online course portfolios in collaboration with faculty authors; oversee the design and development of asynchronous online courses for adult learners; provide guidance on learning frameworks; review course content and assessments to enhance student learning; act as project manager for courses in development and ensure timelines; coordinate with multimedia specialists to produce course-related multimedia elements; supervise Instructional Design Assistants for setup and maintenance of ~35 courses per semester; ensure copyright and accessibility standards; research and promote innovative trends in online learning in higher education; minimum three days per week on-site at Penn State's Filippelli Institute of e-Education and Outreach; background checks required; Penn State does not sponsor work visas.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with Canvas or another learning management system
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty partners and team members
- Project management skills
