Job Summary
Develop technical training on commercial HVAC equipment and controls for Carrier’s internal workforce, customers, and external stakeholders. Create engaging learning experiences across multiple modalities (eLearning, vILT, classroom, videos, job aids, performance support) by translating complex technical requirements into clear objectives and structured curricula. Build content using tools like Articulate 360, Captivate, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite; collaborate with SMEs across engineering, product management, service, and sales to ensure technical accuracy, standards compliance, branding, and accessibility. Ensure training aligns with new product development, supports enrollment and virtual facilitation, and is measured for effectiveness through evaluations and performance data. Monitor industry best practices and trends to continuously improve programs and leverage Totara LMS for delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in instructional design for adult learners
- End-to-end design and development of learning solutions
- Experience with LMS (Totara) and e-learning platforms
- Proficiency with instructional design software and tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, or similar
- Proficiency with multimedia software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator) or similar
- Strong written and verbal communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience developing technical training materials for HVAC systems
- Experience in the commercial HVAC sector is strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Engineering, or a related field
- BS, MS, or higher degree in instructional design or education
