Job Summary
Bechtel is seeking an instructional designer to develop engaging online training using Articulate Storyline and Rise. You will partner with subject matter experts to convert complex content into clear learning experiences and performance support tools for Bechtel’s global workforce. The role involves end-to-end e-learning development, collaboration with SMEs, asset creation (graphics, simple animations, video), troubleshooting during development and post-release, adhering to Corporate Learning & Development standards, and staying current with instructional design methods and tools. Requires a bachelor's degree and substantial experience in adult learning design and development, with proven Storyline/Rise expertise; flexible to support global time zones and capable of working in a matrix organization; knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus; proficiency with Microsoft Office and graphic/video development is expected.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent)
- 5+ years in adult learning design and development
- 2+ years building corporate e-learning
- Strong, hands-on experience building courses in Articulate Storyline and Rise
- Proficiency with tools used in modern e-learning production (e.g., Synthesia or similar)
- Graphic and/or video development experience to support e-learning delivery
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong attention to detail; able to work independently and collaborate across teams
