Job Summary

Create engaging digital learning experiences that help customers implement, operate, and maintain Xylem solutions by designing instructor-led training, eLearning courses, and instructional videos. Define learning outcomes and strategies that align with business goals, then storyboard, script, and edit multimedia assets using tools like Articulate Storyline and Adobe Creative Cloud. Conduct learning needs analyses through stakeholder interviews to develop performance support tools and maintain existing training materials for accuracy and relevance. Collaborate with product teams and subject matter experts to manage multiple content projects while ensuring all assets adhere to brand standards. Work in a hybrid capacity in Morrisville, NC, partnering with stakeholders to drive technical proficiency and customer success.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Technical Communications, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, Information Design, a related field, or a combination of appropriate work experience
  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing instructor led or digital content
  • Demonstrated ability to transform complex technical concepts, processes, or procedures into clear, innovative, and visually engaging content
  • Experience creating instructional videos, including storyboarding, scripting, production, and editing using software such as Camtasia or comparable video editing tools
  • Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or comparable
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud for developing graphics, videos, interactive media, and other digital learning assets
  • Strong stakeholder management, project management, and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and learning processes
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
  • hybrid capacity in the Morrisville, NC office

Desired Qualifications

  • Preference for advanced experience with PowerPoint, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Experience developing or delivering technical training within utility, smart infrastructure, metering, or related technology environments
  • Experience publishing, managing, and maintaining learning content within a Learning Management System (LMS) preferred but not required
  • Skills in motion graphics, animation, or visual storytelling
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence
  • Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to enhance learning content design, development, and delivery
