Job Summary
School-Based Instructional Coach to lead and support the division's instructional initiatives by working side-by-side with classroom teachers to improve instruction, design and deliver professional development on effective instructional strategies, and bring evidence-based practices into classrooms. Responsibilities include modeling best practices, assisting teachers with data collection and analysis, meeting with collaborative learning teams and principals to plan improvements, providing support for countywide initiatives, employing coaching strategies based on research, and facilitating teacher capacity building in a highly collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Demonstrated successful teaching experience for at least three (3) years
- Holds or is eligible for a Virginia Collegiate Professional License with an endorsement for Elementary, Middle, or High
