Job Summary
The Instructional Coach plays a key leadership role in advancing academic excellence across the academy by driving measurable growth and supporting teachers in delivering high-quality, standards-aligned instruction for all learners, including multilingual students. The role partners with teachers and school leadership to strengthen instructional practices through job-embedded coaching, professional learning, modeling effective strategies, and collaborative planning; supports data-informed instruction to identify gaps and accelerate student achievement; emphasizes restorative practices, social-emotional learning, and an inclusive environment. Fluency in Spanish and ability to build teacher capacity through collaborative, reflective coaching are highly desirable to support multilingual learners and elevate instructional outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in education or related field
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Minimum of five years of teaching experience with K-8 students
- Bilingual/ESL endorsement
- Fluency in Spanish
- Evidence of increasing student academic achievement
- Demonstrated management/leadership skills
- Submit to a criminal background check and be found without a record
