Job Summary
The Instructional Coach, Pre-K Partnerships provides ongoing consultation and coaching to teachers in partner child development centers (CDCs) and supports center directors to develop teacher support systems and skills. Collaborates with the Director, Pre-K Innovation Partnership and CDC directors to identify program needs and develop an instructional support plan that meets each PKP teacher and student needs. Responsibilities include curriculum and assessment support, coaching on evidence-based instructional strategies, coordinating with community organizations to deliver training resources to partner CDCs, developing coaching cycles and professional learning opportunities aligned to state childcare requirements, and assisting with teacher recruitment. Requires Bachelor's degree, EC-6 Texas Teaching Certification, and 3-4 years of early childhood teaching plus 2 years of instructional coaching experience; hybrid work option in Austin, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- EC-6 Texas Teaching Certification required
- At least 3-4 years of early childhood classroom teaching experience
- At least 2 years of experience in instructional coaching
- Experience working in child development centers preferred
- Familiarity with Teaching Strategies GOLD, CLASS, high-quality curricula, and frameworks
- An ability to organize and conduct trainings effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with a diverse set of stakeholders
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
