Job Summary
Instructional Coach in Stephenson, VA supporting elementary teachers. Role requires a Virginia license with elementary education endorsement (or pursuing the Virginia Postgraduate Professional license/ Master’s degree) and at least 5 years of classroom teaching experience. Preference for Master’s degrees in Reading, Math, or Curriculum/Instruction and for K–5 elementary coaching experience. National Board Certification or endorsements as Teacher Leader/Mentor may substitute for certain experience needs. Pay aligns with the Teacher Salary Scale for a full-time, 10-month contract (effective 2026–2027). The position focuses on instructional coaching responsibilities at the elementary level to improve literacy, mathematics, and instructional practices.
Required Qualifications
- Hold or be eligible for a Virginia license with endorsement in elementary education
- Hold or pursuing a Virginia Postgraduate Professional license (Master's Degree) or equivalent from another state
- Preference will be given to those with Master's degrees in Reading, Math, or Curriculum/Instruction
- Must have 5 years successful experience as a classroom teacher
- Preference will be given to those with Kindergarten through grade 5 experience

- Candidates with National Board Certification and/or endorsements on the Virginia license in Teacher Leader or Mentor may be considered in lieu of certain experience requirements
