Job Summary
Provide instructional coaching and professional development to support continuous improvement in CTE teaching practices. Deliver individual and group learning opportunities, including modeling effective instructional strategies and lessons. Support teachers in implementing educational initiatives, programs, and inclusive teaching practices. Analyze and interpret student achievement and assessment data to identify instructional needs and guide intervention planning. Assist teachers in developing curriculum materials aligned with state and local standards. Foster collaborative relationships among teachers, administrators, and staff with a focus on student success. Promote ongoing professional growth through coaching, mentoring, and training opportunities. Stay current on innovative instructional strategies through workshops, conferences, and professional learning. Monitor and evaluate student progress, identify learning needs, and implement targeted intervention strategies. Build positive relationships with students to support motivation and achievement. Coordinate and oversee industry credentialing assessments and related processes. Support data collection, analysis, and reporting for students. Ensure compliance with FERPA and maintain confidentiality of student information. Continuously apply current research and best practices in for evidence-based decision making in CTE instruction and workforce development. This is a fulltime position to begin immediately. Salary based on a 220 day, 7.5 hours day teacher contract scale. Qualified candidates should submit an on-line application and attach a resume. Position open until filled.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education (K-12 core curriculum)
- Minimum of five years of teaching experience at high school level
- Strong understanding of VCTC Program of Studies and CTE competencies
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to work with students, parents, educational partners, and administration
