Instructional Coach and Support Teacher

Job Summary

Collaborate with classroom teachers to refine instructional best practices through in-class coaching, peer observation, co-teaching, and modeling effective instruction using a gradual release model. Mentor educators to improve instruction, establish coaching partnerships, and identify measurable goals to enhance student growth. Maintain manual and electronic records to monitor coaching impact while working in partnership with Teaching and Learning to improve overall student achievement. Adhere to district policies, safety protocols, and emergency procedures, and participate in assigned professional development to remain current on evidence-based strategies. This role supports the district's mission to increase student growth and achievement across elementary and secondary campuses.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
  • Five (5) years of successful teaching experience in an elementary or secondary school setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of instructional pedagogy
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current Standards for the State of Texas (TEKS)
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience in conducting professional development and supporting adult learners
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes in core content areas

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • ESL certification (preferred)
  • Experience across multiple grade levels (preferred)
