Instructional Coach and Support Teacher

Job Summary

Conduct in-class coaching, peer observations, and co-teaching with classroom teachers to refine instructional best practices using a gradual release model. Mentor staff to improve instruction, establish coaching partnerships, and identify measurable goals for student growth. Maintain records to monitor coaching impact and collaborate with Teaching and Learning to enhance achievement. Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and special events as assigned. Adhere to district policies, safety protocols, and emergency procedures. Work 187 duty days per school year as an exempt employee within the Teaching and Learning department.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
  • Five (5) years of successful teaching experience in an elementary or secondary school setting
  • Comprehensive knowledge of instructional pedagogy
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current Standards for the State of Texas (TEKS)
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience in conducting professional development and supporting adult learners
  • Demonstrated success in improving student outcomes in core content areas

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree (preferred)
  • ESL certification (preferred)
  • Experience across multiple grade levels (preferred)
