Instructional Assistants (Job Coach) - 6.5 hrs. day/5 days week

Job Summary
Support students with daily living activities, behavior management, discrete trial training, and instructional support across Braille, classroom, intervention, special education, and SIT assignments. Adapt materials using Braille and tactile graphics, assist with specialized equipment, and facilitate mobility or personal care as trained. Reinforce instructional objectives, implement IEP strategies, and maintain orderly classroom environments. Perform SIT duties including attendance tracking, seat assignments, and locker access control. Maintain accurate records, comply with safety protocols, and foster an inclusive learning environment. Work 6.5 hours per day, five days per week, during the student school year.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Valid state department of education license/permit
- Approved degree, completion of requisite higher education credit hours/courses, or acceptable score on an authorized professional standards test
- Behavioral management skills substantiated by training/work experience
- Agility, physical strength, and stamina to address the needs of students with problem behavior and/or students requiring physical assistance
- Dependability/flexibility
- High ethical standards/integrity
- Consistent, impartial and resourceful critical-thinking skills
- Record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
- Successful completion of communicable disease, child abuse/neglect, CPR, and/or first aid training
