Instructional Assistant Special Education II - Support - Part Time - Taylor Junior High School

To assist, under direct supervision of certified teachers and specialists, in the monitoring and instruction of special education students implementing the IEP; assist students in performing academic, daily living and health care activities; assist teacher with routine clerical tasks. Demonstrate capacity to operate independently with minimal input from the teacher. Responsibilities include 1:1 and small group instruction aligned to IEP goals, development of instructional materials, data collection on academic and behavioral goals, curriculum modification to meet individual learning needs, implementing positive behavior intervention plans and crisis intervention procedures, assisting with health-related activities and transfers, de-escalation and behavioral support, accompanying students during transitions, and supporting clerical tasks and Medicaid billing; collaborate with SPED team and participate in professional development.
