Job Summary
Deliver classroom work, reinforce objectives, and assist students with academic, daily living, and health care activities under direct supervision. Collect data on academic and behavior goals, implement positive behavior intervention plans for challenging behaviors, and respond to crises per district policy. Transfer non-ambulatory students, assist with personal hygiene and medical care needs, and accompany students across campus to maintain safety. Perform clerical tasks, organize equipment, and participate in meetings to support teachers and improve skills. Requires associate's degree or 60 college credits, ParaPro test pass, or relevant experience. Part-time role at Red Mountain High School with 29 hours weekly and $16.56 hourly base pay.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or 60 college credit hours
- Pass the ParaPro Test

- Experience working with children
- Ability and willingness to work with special education students who may require specialized instruction to meet academic, social, and behavior goals
- Ability to work well with students, staff and parents
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
- Computer proficiency to include use of basic software applications (Word, Excel, etc)
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to organize and prioritize and to follow classroom guidelines as put forth by classroom teacher
