Job Summary
Ensure the safety of all students and provide direct educational services for the duration of the school day. Incorporate specific educational objectives into ongoing activities, create opportunities for skill generalization and maintenance, and collect data on targeted skills entered into the electronic database. Communicate with parents via home log, relay information to the Lead Teacher and NECC Clinical Supervisor, and maintain student records and materials. Graph and sum student data weekly, participate in program meetings, modify curriculum to assist with progress, and prepare for monthly management by objective meetings. Contribute to IEP and end-of-year report development quarterly and yearly, while collaborating with general educators and specialty providers as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of NECC training, including CALM safety and de-escalation procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous special education experience preferred
- Interest in working with children in special education
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
