Job Summary
Assist teachers in instructing and directing classroom activities to maintain a well-organized environment. Support students with assignments and facilitate small group work under teacher supervision. Participate in staff development training workshops to update skills. Perform other classroom duties and administrative functions as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Handle unforeseen situations in accordance with policy and demonstrate willingness to work well with others. Requires ability to physically restrain a student if called upon after proper training.
Required Qualifications
- associate's degree from an accredited college
- 60 semester hours from an accredited college
- GED or high school diploma and passing score on ParaPro test prior to employment
