Job Summary
Deliver one-on-one and small-group instructional support for students with diverse learning, behavioral, and physical needs across classroom, community, and work-based settings. Implement individualized instruction, behavior plans, and IEPs while collaborating with teachers and specialists to reinforce tailored strategies. Provide direct academic, functional, and social-emotional support, including de-escalation, personal care, and job coaching activities for community transitions. Ensure student safety and engagement while managing assessment, recordkeeping, and compliance with district, state, and federal requirements. Participate in ongoing training and IEP meetings as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's degree or 2 years of college coursework, or ability to pass a district academic and instructional support assessment
- First Aid/CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience working in special education or supporting individuals with disabilities
