Job Summary
Assists teachers in creating a well-organized educational environment for students in Special Education (ESE) and DJJ programs, under supervision of a Highly Qualified Teacher. Duties include supporting instructional activities, ensuring access to resources, and maintaining classroom order. Requires an associate degree (or 60 college hours or ParaPro score), completion of district training such as Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, First Aid, medication administration, CPI, and ongoing health/background checks. Positions are full-time and located at West Pasco Education Academy in Hudson, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited institution in Education or related field OR 60 semester hours OR qualifying score on ParaPro Assessment
- Satisfactory completion of required trainings: Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, First Aid, Medication administration, CPI; CPR/First Aid refreshed every two years; CPI kept current
- Background screening through Pasco County Schools with Level II background screening or fingerprinting via Florida Clearinghouse
- All employees must complete mandated trainings and health requirements
- Must meet federal/state health requirements and pass background checks including Level II clearance
