Job Summary
Collaborate with classroom teachers to support small groups of students through curricular areas, focusing on building background knowledge, reinforcing learning concepts, and assisting students in reaching academic goals. Conduct assessments under supervision to evaluate instructional needs and maintain manual and electronic files to ensure resource availability and meet mandated requirements. Organize instructional materials for small groups, report student progress and observations, and supervise students during class, transitions, lunch, recess, and field trips. Adapt information and tasks to support students with special needs and IEP goals, including assisting with basic needs like transitions, eating, and hygiene.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent
- Experience working in an educational environment (substitute teaching, tutoring, etc.)
