Job Summary
An Instructional Assistant/Bus Driver supports teaching by providing group and individualized instruction, monitoring student progress, and managing classroom activities. The role includes operating school buses to transport students and maintaining a safe environment. Required qualifications include a High School diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license and CDL with appropriate endorsements, and an Associate's degree or equivalent college credits. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Qualifications required under the provisions of 'No Child Left Behind'
- Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
- CDL License with passenger school bus endorsement and current Bus Drivers Pocket Card
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of 48 semester hours of college credits
- Successful completion of a series of Work Keys Tests plus 96 contact hours of appropriate staff development
