An Instructional Assistant/Bus Driver provides direct support to the teacher in instruction and supervision of students, operating school buses to transport children on established routes, and performing a range of duties to support lesson delivery and classroom management. Responsibilities include delivering group and individualized instruction as prescribed, preparing visual aids, monitoring student progress, maintaining discipline, recording health and attendance data, attending workshops, and ensuring bus safety and cleanliness in accordance with Transportation Department Operating Instructions. The role requires strong knowledge of child development, subject basics for the assigned grade, effective communication with students and parents, ability to follow detailed instructions, and the capacity to apply standard procedures to varied situations. Essential duties also encompass administering routine first aid, reporting safety concerns or incidents, and collaborating with school personnel to support student learning and safety.
