Job Summary
Instructional Assistant provides support to the classroom teacher in Autistic Support, assisting with student tasks, observing and charting behavior, and supervising students in hallways, lunchroom, and playground. The role involves assisting with instruction, behavior management activities, and utilizing technology such as Google Suite for Education and the Student Information System. Requires at least two years of college in education or a high school diploma with relevant experience, and the ability to pass background checks. Reports to the Principal at Tacony Academy Charter School, Philadelphia. The position emphasizes building relationships, supporting student engagement, and helping implement Caring School Community practices.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of college in the education field OR High school diploma with three years experience working in education related field will be accepted
- Must be able to pass all required background checks
- High level of interpersonal skills and ability to work with students and staff
