Job Summary
Assist a certificated teacher in providing instruction to individuals or small groups; monitor and report student progress. Incumbents support an instructional program by tutoring students, preparing and organizing lessons, administering tests, assisting with English proficiency assessment, maintaining records, and performing routine classroom and clerical duties while ensuring health and safety and contributing to meetings and training as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a GED) as required by Kentucky law
- Official college transcript from an accredited college with 64 college hours OR pass the Kentucky Para-educators Exam
- Ability to work with children in an organized setting
- Any combination equivalent to the above (per Kentucky law)
